A lovely place to relax and unwind to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Weather pretty awful but didn't matter knowing we were tucked away nice and cosy. Had a lovely day in Battle and recommend the Abbey restaurant. We have really enjoyed our stay in Jessie. Thank you for the perfect stay and all the lovely touches that made it special. The dog towels and treats were really needed especially with all the rain!

This was our first time here and probably won't be our last! I loved the fact that the bedroom had a television in it so that I didn't have to watch whatever boring thing my parents were watching! The landscape is really amazing and it is so good that you're allowed to bring dogs. It makes things so much easier. The beds were so comfortable and we slept really well. The basket with treats in was so nice and the dog biscuits too! The juice you left on the fridge for us was delicious. Thank you so much for our stay

We've been really looking forward to coming back to Jessie to celebrate our 15th anniversary and it didn't let us down. We really love it here. It till amazes us how we can feel so cosy (especially with the fire lit) yet don't feel cramped. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you for all the little personal touches!

Very enjoyable stay apart from the weather tail end of USA hurricane. Recommend village pub, sunday roast, good range of beers and v friendly & dog welcoming. Rye is very good, Hastings lots of road works and traffic lights, garden centre on main road is very good. The field in front of us was great for our 2 dogs and lovely views.

The best equipped accommodation we have stayed in. You have thought of everything and the welcome pack is so lovely. It is so dog friendly and you don;t have to worry about them escaping, with a lovely big area to run around in. The heatwave was a challenge but we still managed to get out and do things. Loved sitting on the terrace in the evenings just chilling out. The local pub is great and dog friendly. Can recommend the White Hart at Netherfield - beautiful view from the terrace. We will definitely be back to this amazing place which is so clean, comfortable and relaxing. Thank you

Absolutely love this cottage. So well equipped and spotlessly clean. Love all the little 'extrea' ie food basket on arrival, all cleaning products supplied. We enjoyed sitting on the decking, sipping wine and enjoying the beautiful view! We visited Rye (old & quaint) Dungeness Power Station, the old lighthouse worth a visit where the strange landscape can be viewed. Battle Abbey 1066 and all that, Bodiam Castle & the nearby steam train (loved this!), ate a lovely meal at the local village pub the Queens Head. Thank you for a lovely cottage!

We had the most amazing time at Jessie. Our labrador Charlie was in heaven sprinting up and down the orchard and saying hello to the sheep. The hut was so well kitted out and incredibly cosy. We would love to come back!

What a lovely little cottage! We really enjoyed staying here. We appreciated the generous hamper waiting for us when we arrived. The weather has been very kind to us and we've had some lovely days out. We can recommend Pashley Manor - a beautiful show of tulips and Broadwater Warren Nature Reserve & Eridge Rocks. So many places to explore that are nearby. Loved some morning walks on the common! Thank you for providing such a pleasant base for our holiday.

First time here, when we arrived lovely clean and tidy. Loved the layout, everything you need is here. Also whats a lovely thought is a hamper was left with lots of goodies inside. Went for a walk in your lovely grounds, beds were lovely and comfortable to sleep in. Went to Battle for the day yesterday, lovely little town. Will definitely come and stay again.

We had a wonderful few nights in Jessie, it was really the perfect spot to relax! We really enjoyed exploring the area, particularly Hastings seafront and Battle. It was a real delight seeing the sheep through the mist each morning and cosying up with the log burner in the evenings. We're sure this won't be our last visit! Thank you

I think this is our 10th stay at the Stables and we continue to love it. So homely and cosy with luxurious touches such as lovely fluffy towels & thick, high quality bedding. The welcome hamper is always well received as are the dog treats! A very special place for us, thank you.

After selling our caravan after 6 years we are new to glamping! We have stayed on some lovely dog-friendly caravan sites but nothing tops Jessie's orchard. Our Cairn terrier has loved the space and freedom and it has made a very relaxing break for us. Jessie is a quaint home from home, very comfortable bed and a surprising amount of space. We have really enjoyed it here and whilst its lovely to go exploring, just relaxing outside Jessie is perfect. We have been so lucky with the weather, rain was forecast and never arrived. The local pub is great for lunch and dinner and the village stores stock everything you need (the emergency bottle of wine and snacks). We hope to return in the near future.

We're back again for our 2nd stay at Jessie. Absolutely love this shepherds hut and the beautiful setting. Our dog loves running around the garden and chasing the odd squirrel or two while we relax in the sunshine sipping our drinks and looking out at the beautiful views again. We really don't want to leave! We will be coming back again next year - can't wait!

The cottage is perfect set up and was everything we were looking for. From welcome basket, comfy beds to the incredible tranquility, it has been lovely. Plenty to see and do within a short drive too - beach, crazy golf, lovely villages through to the Abbey in Battle! An abundance of great pubs for both lunch and dinner - really friendly at the Queens Head up the road, The George Inn at Robertsbridge was great with live music too. A lovely find, we'll certainly return.

We've had a wonderful relaxing weekend staying in Jessie, just what we needed! Its so beautiful here. We hope to come back in the summer. We've stayed in a few similar places before but this is by far the nicest and most well-equipped. We did the Sedlescombe Bluebell walk on the Saturday which was beautiful. If you do this walk though, be aware that fallen trees and sparse signage made it a tad tricky to navigate! Sad to say goodbye to this idyllic place but we will be back for sure! Also saw lots of lovely wildlife during our stay, a great spotted woodpecker even landed on the fence right in front of us! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This cottage is so cute! The hamper in the kitchen was a lovely little start to our week away. The weather was amazing all week, it didn't rain once! We also visited Framptons for a birthday dinner which was amazing. On a very sunny day we walked around the parks and saw beautiful flowers before going to the town centre which was also amazing. Thank you so much for an experience we'll never forget in this little cottage!

I love this place, beautiful and clean, I could move here! We had lunch at the village pub. Yesterday we went to Bodiam Castle, we only walked in the grounds as my dog couldn't go in the castle. But it was beautiful and then we had lunch at the Hub. Highly recommend it.

We have just spent 2 lovely nights in Jessie. It didn't matter that the weather was stormy as we had the fabulous woodburner which made the hut nice and toasty. The hut has absolutely everything and even though I'm not used to glamping, I loved it! We would recommend brunch in Rye at the Fig, dinner in the local Queens Head and dinner in the recently opened Curlew at Bodiam. The dog loved her walk at Brede Woods. Thank you for the treats - very much appreciated. Best wishes

What a beautiful place in a lovely spot - never tired of the view - terrace was a welcome retreat in the heatwave! Thank you for your hospitality - welcome pack absolutely brilliant, dogs made very welcome in village pub, Queens Head and Royal Oak at Whatlington. Fabulous Sunday lunch at Rose & Crown (food served all day) after visiting Batemans - Rudyard Kipling's home, also dog friendly. All in all a wonderful holiday.

We have had a wonderful week! Our friend from Tonbridge was staying in Jessie and she had her two beautiful Viszlas with her who got on incredibly well with our Pointer Poppy - we had great walks together in Battle Woods and a very tasty BBQ all together on our decking terrace! We took the dogs and went to our favourite Italian restaurant in Tenterden (Montalbano) and there were very welcoming to us and the 3 dogs and gave us part of the terrace to spread out in - wonderful food and nice bottle of Pinot Grigio! Weather has been hot and sunny but there is always a breeze to make it bearable. Don't want to go home! but look forward to our next visit! Thank you Sue

One of the loveliest places we have stayed. The cottage is beautifully maintained & is both cosy and yet spacious. Quality throughout & the beds are excellent. The decking area is great for BBQs and safe for dogs - as per the last group who stayed here, we also used the fire guard to block the side entrance. Stunning views and great places to visit are only a short drive away. The wifi glitched whilst we were here but Sue looked to resolve this quickly and kept us informed of progress. Sue her team were really friendly & clearly go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. This is a fantastic cottage for a chilled getaway. Thank you!

It has been a pleasure staying here in this well appointed cottage - thank you for being so dog friendly. A gate at the side of the deck to stop little wanderers would be the icing on the cake! I suspect many people like us, use the fireguard. Cottage is super clean, very tasteful & comfortable - perfectly positioned to enjoy the delicious countryside and glittering coastline. Brede Woods great for burning off canine energy before visiting other places. Large areas of Camber Sands are all year round dog friendly (at the kite surfing end). Lovely walks at Hastings Country Park with huge sea views - great lunches at The Bale House. Tasty food at Eggs to Apple Farm shop & Battle Bakes & Cakes do very generously filled sandwiches. Fish & Chips at Hastings but watch those sea gulls! A very lovely time in a lovely spot.
