The Nook

The Nook is a converted wing of our mid 19th century Georgian house next to the Norman church in Sedlescombe. With one bedroom capturing the essence of the seaside nearby with its half boarded walls and overlooking the church, you will find this a relaxing experience.  A traditionally styled bathroom in travertine marble mosaic has both bath for that long soak and separate shower.

The cottage has a spacious living room with wood-burning stove with separate dining area in a warm country style with painted and stripped old pine furniture and a good selection of books and games.

It has a modern well equipped separate kitchen. Outside a pergola covers a little terrace or mirador with table and chairs. The nook is an intimate and cosy retreat for couples wishing to experience the magic of 1066 country all year round.

We provide all our guests with luxury soaps and shower gels and a good welcome hamper so you don’t have to worry about shopping as soon as you arrive.   We put in local produce including fresh milk, bread, butter, cheese and eggs (from our chickens if they feel like laying) and there are basics in the cupboard.
