Located on the site of the 18th century sawmill for the Pantiles, in the Royal Spa town of Tunbridge Wells, Sawmill Cottage is situated on the common across the road from the Pantiles. With the Chalybeate spring, where you can sample the healthy mineral waters, the Pantiles is famous for its colonnaded walkways and the restaurants that spill out onto them, and is the flagship destination for the capital of the Weald. Various weekend markets and Jazz nights are held here in the summer.

Sawmill Cottage is a perfect destination for couples wanting to explore this beautiful area. It is under 10 minutes walking distance from the mainline station to and from London (a journey of only 45 minutes) and to the coast at Hastings (also 45 minutes). Tunbridge Wells itself offers a wide range of shops and restaurants and has 2 theatres as well as the usual cinema complex and large ‘retail park’. Chartwell, Hever Castle, Penshurst Place & Knole Park are all wonderful places to visit and within about 30 minutes, and Lingfield Racecourse, Brands Hatch and Biggin Hill are within an hour. There are numerous gardens to visit including Scotney Castle, Sheffield Park and Emmetts.
