Castlemans Cottages is a small collection of exclusive holiday cottages in East Sussex and Kent. They have all been recently converted and provide excellent accommodation offering both short breaks and weekly rentals. They are all decorated in soft relaxing hues and are furnished to a high standard. Pets are most welcome at all the cottages.
Situated in the beautiful rolling countryside of 1066 Country, Sedlescombe is a very pretty village just off the A21. It is tucked away just a few miles from Battle and although it dates back to Roman times when the road was built, its claim to fame was in the 18th Century when it was said to make the best gunpowder in Europe!
We have 3 cottages in Sedlescombe; The Nook which sleeps 2 and East & West Stables which each sleep 4.
The Nook is a converted wing of our mid 19th century Georgian house just outside the village next to the Norman Church of St John the Baptist but still within walking distance of the pub and shop.
East and West Stables have been converted to each provide a large double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom. The large living rooms open onto private decks overlooking the beautiful Sussex countryside and there is a good sized paddock for ball games in the summer.
Sawmill Cottage is situated on the edge of the Common just behind The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. This also sleeps 2 and being barely 10 minutes walk from the mainline station, is ideal for those wanting to leave the car behind. The shops and restaurants of The Pantiles are just across the road.
